ALGORITHM
Code-drawn art that renders unique on every visit — a flow field of a few thousand particles, seeded by a single number, and never the same drawing twice.
Works — 01 / 03
The Gallery
Three studies, three algorithms — each reseeded from the same number that draws the field above. Reload, or hit Regenerate, and the whole room repaints.
Aggregate No. 9
Discs dropped at random, each one grown until it kisses a neighbour or the edge of the frame. Density without a single placed mark.
Continuum
A grid of two-arc tiles, each flipped by a coin toss. Continuous curves that meander across the plane, deciding their own maze.
Basin
Eighty-thousand iterations of a chaotic map, four constants pulled from the seed. Order that only appears once the points pile up.
On process
— The studio
We don't draw pictures. We write the rules a picture must obey — then let a single number decide the rest.
Every ALGORITHM piece begins as a seed: one 32-bit integer that fixes a private universe of colour and motion. Feed the same seed twice and the drawing returns intact, down to the last filament of ink. Change one digit and the entire field reorganises.
The hero is a flow field — a few thousand particles set loose in an invisible landscape of Perlin noise. Each one follows the slope beneath it and leaves a fading trail. No mark is placed by hand; structure emerges from the arithmetic.
The seed lives in the address bar. Share the URL and you share the exact drawing — a reproducible original, signed by its number. Read how it's built →
